Sustainable building is also about accessibility. Go4Energy announces a partnership with Access4you International and is the only company in Poland with accreditation for the company’s certification. Starting from December 2023, Access4you becomes the next certification service in the Go4Energy portfolio. The solution pertains to the accessibility of the built environment for individuals with special needs related to mobility, vision, hearing, and cognitive functions, also for people with baby strollers and the elderly. »

#Go4ESG – How to prepare for ESG reporting?

The EU CSRD imposes an obligation on companies to produce ESG reports, according to an agreed calendar. If we think we still have time, we are sadly mistaken. Non-financial reporting is an engaging process that additionally requires time for adequate preparation. The CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) introduced mandatory ESG reporting for a much larger group of companies than was previously required. New uniform standards - the ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) - have also been adopted to which we will report in a consistent manner. »

#GO4ESG – BREEAM and EU Taxonomy

Although being separate schemes - both the EU Taxonomy and BREEAM certification apply to properties. Currently, BREEAM certification is compliant with the Taxonomy criteria at quite a high level - most of the Taxonomy criteria are fully or partially included in BREEAM certification as well. BRE Global declares that their certification will be increasingly compliant with the Taxonomy and they are committed to its further development. They have also announced a review of certification once the technical criteria for all EU Taxonomy targets have been published. These ambitious declarations will allow BREEAM to become increasingly compliant with EU legislation. »

The European Union is continuing its efforts to increase corporate responsibility and improve sustainability. In this context, a new reporting standard called ESRS, or European Sustainability Reporting Standards, is being introduced. The ESRS aims to increase the transparency and credibility of information provided by companies on their social and environmental impacts. Companies are increasingly aware of the need to integrate social and environmental aspects into their business strategy, and the ESRS aims to facilitate and organize this process. »
